“Remote” Service
There are times when you just don’t have the budget to hire someone to come and shoot a video for you, or you live in an area without professional videographers you can trust to convey your message in a professional manner. As a small business owner, you simply don’t have the time or patience to learn video editing yourself. You’re too busy running and growing your business for that! Well, that’s what my “remote” service is for. You get the immediacy, authenticity and feel of a DIY YouTube style video, but with the added benefit of professional editing, transitions, music, and motion graphics to convey your message.
How it Works
I will send you a handheld camera in the mail, which you will use to shoot your footage.
You’ve seen “flip” style cameras everywhere lately. They’re easy to use, even for a novice. It’s best to get a spouse, friend, or techie teenager to help you, since you’ll want to be the one on camera! I’ll send you my video tipsheet, and even suggest a list of the shots you’ll need to show off your small business. We use the Kodak Zi8 camera, which is the best in class with handheld HD video cameras. The Zi8 shoots in full 1080 HD, or 720p at 60 frames per second. It also has an audio input jack for a microphone, so that we can get the best possible sound for your video.
When you’re finished shooting to your hearts content, you’ll simply send the camera back, and I’ll edit your footage, together with additional photos of your business (in videography we call that “B Roll”), into a finished video with music, transitions, & opening branded logo sequence using your company logo.
There are other services like this cropping up on the internet. Even a couple of BIG companies who only do this type of service.
